CHALLENGE

Migrating a legacy Next.js 9 project (node-sass, React 16) to run on Node v26 and Next.js 13 while preserving the original design and all components exactly

SOLUTION

Replaced node-sass with dart-sass, upgraded Next.js 9 to 13.5.6 and React 16 to 18.2.0, migrated Document/App APIs, fixed CSS modules, added null-safety for dead CMS endpoints, and corrected static image import shape
